My dear students,<\/em><\/p>\n

In this new academic year2026-2027, I welcome you to the international academic community of New York College –the historic Greek college that in collaboration with state universities in Europe and USA has reshaped the map of post-secondary education in Greece, the Balkans and Central Europe in the last three decades.<\/p>\n

\"NYC<\/p>\n

More specifically, New York College (NYC) was founded in 1989\u00a0in cooperation with the world-renowned State University of New York<\/a>, the largest\u00a0university\u00a0in the\u00a0USA,\u00a0on the basis\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0comprehensive<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>international\u00a0agreement\u00a0of academic validation,\u00a0historically the first<\/a> of its kind in Greece and the Balkans.\u00a0In the following years, NYC expanded the range of its international academic collaborations in Europe. As result, authentic BACHELOR, MASTER and PhD degrees of American and British public universities<\/a> are now awarded to NYC graduates \u2014by State University of New York – Empire State <\/a>University\u00a0(USA), University of Greenwich<\/a> (England) and\u00a0University of Greater Manchester<\/a>\u00a0(England).<\/p>\n

Furthermore, NYC has grown into an international academic group: In 1998, NYC\u00a0founded University of New York in Prague<\/a> (UNYP) in the heart of Europe, in the Czech Republic. It is noteworthy that UNYP has ever since evolved into the first institution that was officially recognized as Private University by the Czech Ministry of Education.\u00a0In the following years, NYC played a pivotal role in the development of the\u00a0college sector of tertiary education\u00a0in the Balkans and particularly in Tirana, Skopje and Belgrade.<\/p>\n

The international dimension of NYC, along with its ranking as one of the two leading Greek colleges \u2014according to a study by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens<\/a> (UoA 2018)\u2014 gives our graduates an additional comparative advantage in the labor market: They are not only graduates of prestigious American or European state universities<\/a>, but in addition they have studied at the only Greek college with international status<\/a> and prestige<\/a>, that reflects on the specialized <\/a>instruction and the academic research<\/a> of its distinguished professors.<\/p>\n

During their studies, our students expand their knowledge and enrich their life experience by being immersed creatively into a unique educational and cultural environment, either at the world-class\u00a0NYC Athens Campus<\/a> \u2014in the same neighborhood where knowledge and culture were developed and flourished\u2014 or at the international NYC Thessaloniki Campus<\/a>, or even at the UNYP Prague Campus<\/a>, the\u00a0diamond of NYC Group\u00a0in the heart of Europe, in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n

As students in the\u00a0multicultural\u00a0academic environment of New York College, you will develop both a cultural perspective and an international outlook in your perceiving of the world. To this end, the\u00a0NYC epigrammatic triptych\u00a0“Rooted in the Past, Living in the Present, Looking to the Future” may be your solid and reliable compass, initially in the most beautiful journey<\/a> of your life, the journey of your academic knowledge in the fascinating environment<\/a> of NYC, and later on in your professional career<\/a> in Europe and the world, where over 90% of our graduates take up full-time positions within the first semester after graduation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To this end and on behalf of the professors and the administrative executives of NYC Group, where the students’ goals are ambitious but always feasible, I wish you a course of study that will be both intellectually motivating and professionally rewarding in2026-2027 and beyond.<\/p>\n
