The 2^nd Annual New York College

Careers in Psychology Day! 

This year it will take place on Friday 23^rd May 2025, from 13:00 to 19:00.

The focus of the day is on preparing Psychology Students for Life After University

A series of talks from Guest Speakers and NYC faculty members from the Department of Psychology (experts in different areas of psychology) will take you through a structured approach to developing and implementing a career plan after you graduate and open your eyes to the many options that are available to you.

Areas of Psychology that will be covered in the talks:

• Clinical psychology
• Health psychology
• Counselling psychology
• Psychotherapy
• Educational psychology
• Neuropsychology
• Organisational / Occupational psychology
• Careers in psychological research

Taking part in this event will give you insight and the opportunity to get advice on your future career. Here are some of the great things to look out for:

• Meet professionals working in a wide variety of key areas of psychology.
• Learn more about volunteering opportunities that are available to you during your studies at New York College.
• Ask the professionals for advice on their area of psychology of your interest during the Q & A part of their talk (and in the break).
• Learn more about potential careers and what they require e.g. postgraduate studies, work experience, Continuous Professional Development as well as professional memberships, accreditation and clinical supervision after the completion of your studies.
